God created...God moved...God said...
God divided...God called...God made...
God set...God blessed...God sanctified...
God formed...
God breathed...
God breathed...
The first verse quickly revealed the main Character. GOD created the heaven and the earth. It was all about Him!
The Book of Genesis is full of interesting stories. But more than just the people involved and the situations they were in, let's have an in-depth look at God Himself. On how He, The Creator, The Alpha and Omega started it all. Join me as I plan to dig deeper and challenge me if my ideas turn to be questionable, OK?
When I was a child, I love hearing the creation story. I love seeing pictures of the beautiful garden of Eden, the animals that I quickly associate with Noah's ark (very fast forward, haha!), the sun, the moon and the stars, the birds and the flowers. I can barely wait until the teacher mentions the most special creatures of all - humans!
My young mind usually wanders away from The Creator Himself. Suddenly, we, people get the center stage. God loves us so much and He made us special. God made a perfect garden for us. God prepared everything before He breathed into our great, great, great grandfather Adam's nostrils. God wonderfully created us and God is so good for creating me. Me. Me. Me!!!
So today, I just took time to set myself aside. There's nothing wrong with thanking God for making me but I want to linger more on the amazing thought that the Creator God is my God and that He is the focus of the whole creation account. It was all about Him and His greatness. My God with His infinite wisdom made everything out of nothing. His powerful words arranged every single creature as He wanted it to be. The vastness of the universe tells us how amazing He is. His art and creativity as he designed each leaf, each flower, and each animal after its kind can't be described with mere words. The God of the Bible displayed His whole might in His creation. What an amazing God I have! Should I not, in awe of His majesty, bow and worship Him?
I still love hearing the Creation story and I don't get tired reading the starting point of the Bible. But my perspective has changed so much through the years. What a wonder that this big, big God is the same God who revealed Himself to me. He deserves all the glory, worship and awe! And yes, until now, It is still and should be all about Him!
