A Happy Soul

I believe that Jesus loves me
So there's no need to frown
I smile, I laugh, I'm carefee
Knowing someday I'll have a crown.

His grace has been so perfect
All sin and guilt were washed away
His Word I heed, in His presence I pray
His love and joy have come to stay.

So if you ask me why I'm happy
My answer - Jesus freed my soul
And everyday He makes me godly
To make Him smile is my goal.

My friend, you can't strive all alone
Simply trust He paid it all
The Giver of my joy can be yours too
If just like me, To Him you'll call!ΓΌ

glad to create a new poem today..... the idea just popped in my head.
A lot of people strive to be happy. They make happiness their ultimate goal. So wrong. We should allow God to change our lives and make us godly. Godliness should be the goal... and we don't even need to strive. We rest on God... We wait on Him.. We allow Him to work.. We let Him mold us... and it wouldn't be a surprise if we will become happy. That's just one of the many blessings we would enjoy when we feel secure in God's amazing love. In fact, it's not just happiness..it's joy! It doesn't depend on circumstances or happenings.. It's stable and sure... and then there's peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and above all love! : ) It's not really hard to be happy after all!

from Mear's "What The Bible is All About"

I just want to share this..
I was studying the Book of Acts a few months ago when I happened to read this portion of that thick book! : )
Just random though... just phrases and sentences that caught my interest while reading...

The word witness is used over 30 times in the book of Acts

Salvation comes to this world through CHRIST ALONE (Acts 4:12)

Are you witnessing for CHRIST?
If not, why not?

... if you have no witness for Christ, look into your heart . For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (p.413)

The believers' one aim was to bring men to the saving knowledge of JESUS CHRIST. He was their ONE THEME, and The WORD of GOD their ONE WEAPON.

The disciples were Simple
Straightforward and
Successful.
They depended ENTIRELY upon the power of GOD, through HIS SPIRIT.
They moved with a ZEAL that could not be quenched, and a courage that was unflinching. (p.415)

Mighty WIND --- heavenly power
Luminous TONGUES ---divine Presence
different SPEAKING of tongues --- power to witness -
this is interesting, the people who heard understood! These Galileans are proclaiming the wonderful works of GOD in languages that they couldn't possibly speak..

oh, to have the passion like those of the early Church believers..
these "unlearned" men had been with Jesus!
May we who claim to be Jesus' disciples today can certainly smile and say..
"yes, I have been with Jesus!"
This is a rebuke for me too.. how many moments of my day have been spent with Jesus Whom I claim to love?! For only when I spend precious moments with Him can I be a powerful witness for Him!

HE is Mighty to Save!

Thank you so much for my friends who agreed to partner with me in prayer. There are many things we need to ask God for. Above all these things, I request you to pray for the PEOPLE we minister to everyday. Our GOD hears our prayers.. and He would love to save people through us.

Yesterday, Thursday, June 17 was a day of celebration in my heart.. and for sure, in heaven too! What a privilege to be able to lead my two students, SOKANYA(girl) and SOPHEARA(guy) to ask Jesus to be their God, Savior, and Lord. They are university students who are excited to hear about the Truth. OUR GOD is indeed mighty to save! The work is just starting. Please pray that these new believers will grow in the faith and seek to love God with all their hearts.. Pray for me as I teach them to love the Bible also.

Another student, CHANSA(girl), became really close to me. She received Jesus last April 23, when she came alone in our 3-4 class. She was our first convert and my first "daughter" in Christ here in Sisophon. What a joy to see her attend our Sunday worship.. but the enemy is working double time too. She became busy with house chores and got a new class schedule at 3-4pm! God still answered our prayers, she now comes every opportunity she can. I'm free at 2pm, so she studies the Bible with me. Please pray for this sweet girl. Her hunger for God's Word encourages me to teach her more. Help pray that we would be able to visit her house and let her whole family hear the Gospel too.

More people next time. Please mention their names in your prayers.
SOKANYA, SOPHEARA, and CHANSA.
I would love you to be a part of what God is doing here in Sisophon,Cambodia.
May God reach people through all of us wherever He places us. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Thanks a lot!
